We are seeking a Software Engineer to join the cove.tool engineering team. A forward-thinking, brilliant, positive individual who brings their unique experience and strong engineering foundation is critical for this role. In addition to web application development experience, a passion for math and science is key. 


Daily responsibilities include iterative development, automation, and research. You will have the opportunity to work closely with the co-founders to shape the future of the tool and grow with the company. 


  1. Collaborate with the engineering team to develop features
  2. Fix bugs and issues from Customer Success
  3. Write automated tests
  4. Own features from start to finish
  5. Work independently
  6. Write clean, scalable, maintainable code
  7. Participate in code reviews
  8. Keep the team up-to-date in daily standups

Required Skills and Abilities

  1. Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent
  2. 2+ years building web applications at scale
  3. Python, Django, PostgreSQL, JavaScript, Three.js, React, Bootstrap, CSS, SASS, HTML5
  4. RESTful APIs
  5. Object-Oriented Design (OOD)
  6. Model-View-Controller (MVC)
  7. Adept at problem solving and critical thinking
  8. Strong debugging skills
  9. Meticulous code review
  10. Strong communication skills
  11. Version control with Git/Github
